Dhumketu Express derailed Dhk-Rajshahi rail services halted

Three compartments of Dhaka-bound Dhumketu Express derailed in Nondangachhi area near Sarda stationas blockaders uprooted fishplates of rail tracks early Sunday.

Rajshahi railway police thana officer-in-charge Alamgir Hossian told banglanews, “Rail communications on Dhaka-Rajshahi route through Nondangachhi area remained snapped from 2:15am following the derailment. No casualty was reported as the trail was running in low speed, he added. He also said that Iswardi junction was informed the matter. A relief train rushed to the spot. The rail services on the route will resume on Sunday morning after clearing the line through rescuing the compartments.
