Passenger buses torched in city

Pickets set fire to two passenger buses in Dhanmondi 15 number road area of the city on Sunday, the second day of BNP-led 18-party called 72-hour blockade.

Witnesses said that a group of blockaders came out with a possession in the area around 10:30 am and set ablaze. On information, two units of fire fighters rushed the spot to douse the flame. There was no casualty in this incident as the passengers managed to get down from the buses in time. Dhanmondi Thana Officer-in-Charge Masud Karim confirmed the matter to banglanews.
